1. OUR SOAPS MOISTURIZE NATURALLY

A natural byproduct of the soap making process is glycerin. Glycerin is a skin moisturizer, emollient (skin softener) and a humectant (draws moisture to it). Our handmade soaps contain glycerin which hydrates the skin while bathing.

Commercially-produced soaps are commonly processed to extract the glycerin. The removed glycerin is then used in other higher profit margin products such as lotions and creams. Soap without glycerin is harsh and drying; using it can lead to chronically dry and itchy skin.

Our handmade soaps retain their natural glycerin, therefore providing a key ingredient needed to prevent dry skin. As an added bonus, most of our handmade soaps contain natural moisturizers such as shea butter, goat's milk, and almond oil.

2. OUR SOAPS CONTAINS BETTER INGREDIENTS

Whatever goes on our skin goes into your body. In fact, our skin absorbs anywhere from about 21 – 100% of what we put on it. Soap manufactured for mass distribution contains synthetic ingredients that are cheap to fabricate in a lab.

Unfortunately, these artificial ingredients are often not good for our skin or our body. Many of these toxic materials have known side effects such as dermatitis and eczema. 

Our soaps are made using natural ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, goat's milk, and shea butter which are gentle and nourishing to the skin.

Also, soap manufactured for mass distribution usually contain fragrance oils instead of natural essential oils.

Fragrance oils are artificial scents that are used in many products from soap to body washes, candles, lotions, perfumes, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. While the FDA allows manufacturers to list only "fragrance" as an ingredient, each fragrance can contain thousands of chemicals, some of which are the most toxic in the skincare industry.

We on the other hand only use essential oils that are 100% pure oils extracted from plant material or natural additives such as lemon zest and honey in our soaps. These essential oils and natural additives have known positive psychological effects and skin benefits.

Store-bought soaps are mass-produced in factories and every single bar is identical.
